Our House System
The development of a strong culture is vital to the functioning of an excellent school. We strongly believe in the importance of developing the whole child so that each child's school experience puts them in the strongest position possible to be successful in the world beyond.
A significant part of our house system is about creating opportunities for individual growth and creating memorable experiences. It is also about fostering a sense of community, and of the collective. Our house system is closely linked to our reward system, underscoring the importance of individual and collective behaviours leading to success.
Here at Cringleford Prep, we are incredibly proud of the House System we have created and the attached values. It embodies what we stand for as a school community and provides a visual representation of the culture that we live and breathe each day. Our house system encourages personal development and is closely linked to our enrichment offer, providing a wide range of experiences and motivating students to pursue their own growth whilst also working together and learning from each other.
Each of our houses has a House Leader, and every pupil and member of staff is part of one of our four houses.
Each school within the Inspiration Trust has a House System and, as part of the wider trust, we are delighted to be able to offer our student the opportunity to participate in various exciting inter-trust events and competitions, all of which promote and inspire teamwork, while also creating a unique sense of belonging to something bigger than one's self.
Our houses link our school closely with our area, specifically the close ties to science and research through our proximity to the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital, Norwich Research Park and the University of East Anglia. Our house leaders have been carefully selected with each of their stories exemplifying our school values of curiosity, courage, compassion and character.
House points are awarded for actions that promote our school values, as well as for living our school rules. We celebrate the winning House at the end of each academic year.
